Named “Best Winery in North America”
Peju has been my all time favorite winery for a very long time. Located in Rutherford, Napa California, this winery makes one of the best Cabs, Syrah and Zinfandel. The winery has been open for 30+ years. I still remember a 1994 Cab that we had for the 2002 New Year’s Eve celebration. It was deep purple, chewy and one of the best Cab I have had in my life. I guess we opened it at just the right time in its full prime. On our WineMaester Scale, Peju scores a 5 star rating!
Run by the owners Tony, Herta and their two daughters Lisa and Ariana, this family run winery shows the love they have for not just making award winning extra-ordinary wines but also developing a beautiful garden and contemporary artwork.
Peju is a certified organic winery with sustainable farming practices, a Bay Area Green Business and a Napa Valley Green Winery. It is so good to see wineries going green. Kudos Peju!
