I forget how many times I have been to V. Sattui. Any time friends visiting from out of town want to go to Napa for some wine tasting, V. Sattui is a must. They have a very wide range and I mean really wide range of wines to satisfy anyone’s pallette. Apart from some very good wines, V. Sattui has a beautiful picnic area to sit down have some wine with the picnic lunch. The winery is also a great location for weddings.
They normally have some very good food at the winery as well. Depending upon your mood and hunger you can choose from BBQ, pasta, sandwiches, cheeses and crackers. I have also done olive oil tasting multiple times in their sandwich shop area.
For people who prefer some quiet tasting, they also have a special Reserve Tasting room away from the crowds. In spite of the crowds, they do have a large car parking area in the front and at the back.
The winery has a very long history. It evidently started in 1882, shut down during prohibition and restarted in 1976. Ever since then, it has been pleasing couples, groups and bridal parties. You can always find at least one bride-to-be with her entourage having a nice relaxing day in the wine country.
